open a saved 2018 tax file in Pro series 2019

I had to change  computers (old one bit the dust). I am trying to open or import a 2018 tax file saved on a thumb drive with my Pro series 2019 to  amend return but Ii do not know how to acces a fuile on the desktop from the Pro series 2019 program

You can only access 2018 files using 2018 software.  You then roll/proforma the file FROM 2018 to 2019.

    The only way that you can get the 2018 file into 2019 would be to transfer it.
