Hello,

I want to record a non depreciated asset such as security deposit.  On partnership return depreciation asset worksheet, there is no option to record this security deposit amount.  Can someone help me find it?   I know depreciation asset worksheet on schedule C.  The drop down list, there is an option  X Non depreciated asset to record this kind of thing.  But not on partnership depreciation worksheet.

Thank you,

jasont

Just put it on the Balance Sheet as Other Asset.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

Security deposit is not a depreciable asset... just like inventory, accts rec, prepaid expenses, etc. You didn't try to put them on a depreciation schedule did you?
