New client created in 2024 but did not upload the state program. Transferred the file to 2025 but can't upload the state (MD). The state is already clicked in the update?

Why can't I download the state I need even after I remove the check mark in the update?

Im not sure what you mean by ‘upload the state program”.

You installed MD in 2024 and prepared the client return that included MD.

Now in 2025 you cant get MD to install? If you open any client return, MD isnt shown in the list of states to choose from?

Yes, because I didn’t install MD in the 25 program, the client’s default state from 24 won’t open. And now after trying to upload it, it won’t. But I believe it’s because the box is checked as if it was already uploaded.

If you dont have MD installed in 2025, youre right, a 2024 return that includes MD wont transfer into 2025.

Are you unable to install the MD program to 2025? Once MD is installed in 2025, and the program restarts, you should be able to transfer the clients 2024 return into 2025.

That was my thought. Delete the client from 2025. Download the missing state. restart the program then retransfer the client file from 2024 to 2025
