Question

My form 1116 says DO NOT FILE.

I received this error message before Feb. 17 and that the form would be updated on Feb. 17.  I have updated my software daily and I still get this error message for this cient.

Now slated for 03/03/2022 per the Forms Release bar.

      But if the form is completed only because of dividends, the 1116 doesn't file and if you just ignore the error it will transmit now and be accepted. (I have already tried and it worked)

        I hadn't even thought about ignoring the error.  I assumed it wouldn't e-file  I guess I will wait the two days at this point.  Thanks for your help

        Are the credits small enough that the form isn't required to be submitted?  If so, you shouldn't need to wait, you can file now.
