    My apologies. I was interrupted and failed to notice that I'd sent the incomplete question.

    The information for that line in the 1041 indicates to "see instructions" if there is a loss. I couldn't find any specific instructions. I presume that any loss on a pass through of income to the beneficiary would be treated like any other loss.
