Question

IRS rejected my EFile saying that I checked Form 4972 but none is attached. I don't need Form 4972. Can anyone tell me where to find the check mark?

Pension input?

The more I know the more I don’t know.

Check your 1099R worksheet entries, maybe something got checked by accident?    Maybe delete the worksheet and start one from scratch.

As Lisa suggested it's on the 1099-R worksheet.

Scroll down near the bottom under the heading Pensions and Annuities and uncheck the box beside D1.

If that box isn't checked so that you can uncheck it, I would delete the 1099-R and try re-entering it and of course reach back out if that still doesn't resolve the issue and we'll try to assist further with troubleshooting.
