If W-2 shows item 12 as D 17 code and amount, how to enter in software?

That 17 is probably a "hang around" from 2017 that didn't get edited out for 2018. Ive seen some employers that erroneously stick the year in there.
There is no code 17 for a D in Box 12. I would disregard it.
