Tax prepared?   or preparer?

Anyone that considers themselves a tax preparer would know the answer to this question, or you shouldn't be preparing taxes.

    You asked a question that doesn't really apply to "using ProSeries to prepare client income tax returns." So, you are in the wrong place on the internet. You need to use other resources. Examples:

    https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employed/self-employed-individuals-tax-center

    Because you described your Profession. That isn't going to control anything having to do with your tax obligations.
