If I am a resident of Virginia and I win enough money in a casino in Maryland for which a W-2g was issued, in which state should the winnings be taxed?

The W-2G wants to tax the winnings in Maryland, but the ProBasic software shows it as Virginia income on the income allocation work sheet and will not let me change it without overriding it which will cause the software to disallow e-filing.

Both states tax this.  VA will give you a credit for taxes paid to MD.
