Question

I submitted a tax return that was electronically accepted on 2/23. IRS records as pending. How can I find out why the return is still pending on 4/16?

"Where's my refund" says its pending?

If you are the third party designee I think you can call and ask but the reason may not be in the system.

The more I know the more I don’t know.
