I like the regulars here, but I hate what Intuit has created.  Keep the white smoke handy just in case things change 😃

We’re back to getting lost in reply threads and for some reason the programmers decided that if there are too many replies in a post, they’ll just hide some of them unless you ask for more.  Inevitably the ones they hide seem to be the new replys (or maybe they’re just the ones with fewer views/likes/cheers but hint: there’s a correlation between those things...)

I did notice that when the OP posts to their own thread the new forum does identify them as “Author”.  I’m getting older and forgetful so that’s nice.  In the 12 minutes it takes me to expand all the reply threads to find the new post, I may very well have forgotten who posted the question.

Yep… this new thing isn’t at ALL user friendly.  Fortunately (for me) I don’t come here to obtain info (well, not tax info - the humor/entertainment component is (was?) a different story).  BUT if Jeff is going on sabatical - that will likely suffer.

I do enjoy trying to help others; but with trend towards ….  um, well…. less than grateful appreciation by so many….  that motivation is less strong.

Fortunately most of us old-times - we will always have the Troll Party !

Since we are being charged so much more for the new years products, they had to do SOMETHING to justify the cost!!!

I’m almost sure that they will follow up with the long awaited release of the 5227 this year.  Sorry, but I have to run.  I thought I just saw a couple of pigs just fly by.

The convoluted pile that the designers of this new format have created has definitely discouraged me as well, since it’s so user unfriendly.  I noticed if you filter by program, say ‘ProSeries Tax’, you only see when the original post was created, not the time of any recent replies.

Looks like the only way to do that is to leave it on ‘recent activity’ without a filter but then you get all the post about the other programs as well.

It’s ridiculous that you have to keep on clicking and clicking and clicking just to read a whole string.  Did Intuit buy out some mouse manufacturer and is hoping to drum up business by having everybody wear out their mouse by reading replies here?

Took 7 websites to get to the community - then required to log in - then the screen shows randon posts - 15 hours ago, 4 years ago, 1 day ago. WTF?  Guess my time will be freed up ignoring this community board unless fixed.
