Question

I filed an extension for an 1120S client. Will the Form 7004 be included when I file the return electronically?

I filed the extension by mail in early March.  How can I attach the extension with the electronic filing?

Open Form 7004 - check the "freeze" box.  It should show Form 7004 under Forms In Use - it should efile with return.      Or you can attach as pdf to return.

    Why bother?  Either the extension was acknowledged by the IRS as arriving timely or it didn't.   Attaching a copy to the e-filed return means nothing.
