How to change 9a beginning balance of Buildings and Depreciation on imported return

I need to change the beginning balance of Buildings and Depreciation (line 9a on Schedule L Balance Sheet Per Books). Can't find how to enable changing the entry anywhere. Obviously, I can override but why can't I change it directly?

......... but why can't I change it directly?      Built in accuracy feature.... if those numbers were the ending numbers on returned filed last year then those numbers should be the beginning numbers for this year

    What if the prior year was amended after the import?
