How to allocate income and deductions for a couple married in 2020?
Taxpayer and spouse each lived in separate states before tying the knot in 2020; taxpayer in VA, spouse in MD and then both moved to CA.
Part Year allocation works fine for CA, but VA and MD are giving me multiple errors, I think because
the spouses were not really part year residents of each other's state. Has anyone had to solve this
problem in the past and were you able to e-file the states of former residence?
