Have issues with a small Schedule C loss cancelled on line 31

Working a retiree's Schedule C that shows a -$456 on line 29, but on line 31 shows zero.  Off to the left it shows PAL which I'm assuming means Passive loss.  Searches note Schedule E but nothing on Schedule C.  Is there any way to get around this?  Retiree is a translator at the local clinics and hospital. Thank you!

There is a little question on the sched C worksheet to click on to make it active instead of passive.
