Question

Federal Return status is "sent to IRS" but state return for Indiana still says "Received by Intuit"

I transmitted Federal and then like 2 minutes later transmitted State.  This was 3 hours ago and not sure why the state return still says "received by intuit"?

Does state just take longer to get sent out or does it mean something is likely wrong?

My experience is the state returns almost always take longer then the Federal.. Sometimes hours sometimes not till the next day or more... Just be patient and wait a little bit and I think you will be okay... That's my opinion

    I dont think Intuit sends to the state until after IRS accepts it...if fed rejects, they reject state along with it.
