Can 2021 estimated tax payment be held out of 2020 refund?

You can apply all or a portion of the refund towards 2021, it would be applied similar to an estimated payment.

    where on the 2020 1040 does the estimated you want from your refund to pay go?

    Isnt it line 36 of the 1040? Double click on it to get to where you enter the refund to be applied to 2021.
