Why doesn't a rejected return show up under efile rejected tab?

Was it rejected by IRS, or did Intuit kick it back to you prior to sending it to IRS?

What was the reason for rejection?

Assuming irs since it said a return had already been filed using the social. Thank you

if it bounced right back (you never saw "sent to IRS" as the status), that was Intuit letting you know someone else filed a return under that SSN using an Inuit product ...its not a rejection from the tax agency, thats why it doesnt appear in the Rejected Tab.
