E Filed 2020 1040X was accepted 11-18-21, how long before it shows in clients IRS individual account.

Client went into his individual account to check on another matter and noticed that the 1040X return which was accepted on 11-18-21 isn't listed, yet his original return which was filed on 10-15-21 is. I am just curious how long does it normally take for the IRS to post in his account.

I'd give it 6-8 months, and then check the account listing again.

Read the other posts on this forum and you will see that the IRS is backed up...
