does turbotax allow a download of 1099b from Schwab into a 1040 return? I file a 5227 for a Charitable Remainder Trust, i have always mailed a paper copy, the IRS seems to want an electronic copy, how do I do this?

Thanks, I replied to the IRS asking for the out that you mentioned, I have not heard from them, I did file my 5227 for 2025 in march 2026. do you think I will hear from them? is there a way for me to see if they accepted my paper copy?

5227 - my favorite topic here. ProSeries does not provide that form. You can use Lacerte on a pay per return basis if you like if you want to generate an e-filed return. The IRS does provide an out for the form if you have a good excuse. I have a simple 5227 left and I have been paper filing it and have attached any explanation that my software provider does not provide the form and it would be cost prohibitive to use another software to generate an e-filed return.
