Question

Does anyone know why the NJ 630 is requiring a payment when filed? The program will not let me file without a payment of some sort. Thank you in advance!

Per the instructions to Form NJ 630, you must have paid in 80% of the tax due for the extension to be approved.

Because NJ only requires a copy of the federal extension 4868 when zero tax is due to NJ.

A zero due NJ-630 is not required.
