Dependent is attending to foreign school, no EIN for american opportunity credit. But the school participates in US Financial Aid. How to get the credit without the EIN#?

My understanding is that if they are an "eligible educational institution", the school is required to issue 1098-Ts and have an EIN.

Has the student checked with the college to ask about that?

Is the college listed on the "eligible educational institution" list?
