delay in federal 1040 acknowledgements

I haven't received an IRS acknowledgement yet for a 1040 return filed yesterday afternoon. This delay for a federal filing is very unusual for me. Has anyone else had a delay like this today?

I know this doesn't help the situation, but our office has not received IRS confirmation for an e-filed return sent on Tuesday.  However, a return e-filed today was accepted right away.   The return sent Tuesday still lists the status as being sent to the IRS.

I was just told by tech support that it's the IRS' problem and not Intuit's. They (the IRS) is supposedly working on fixing a line of code. Does that synch with what other people have heard?

yes, its all related to the yellow banner program alert they sent out on Tuesday morning....its on the IRS side of things.
