college credit not transferring

fed college expenses are not transferring to N.Y. state return.

You probably have to fill out form IT-272 your self, as there are choices of taking the credit or itemized deduction, and the program would not know what you want to do.

    in previous years (at least 15 years) all expenses were transferred to form It  272 and worksheet and could check box to optimize best credit. The same worksheet and forms are still there this year but college expenses are not transferring as in past must be a programming error.
