Child tax credit for 18 year old

I have a client who claims their 18 year old granddaughter as a dependent.  I was under the impression that there's supposed to be a $500 credit for the 18 year old? She didn't get any advance payments.  The software is not giving her the $500 credit?  Is it because she's her granddaughter? She is not over the income limit.

Other dependent credit $500.

CTC under age 18.

The $500 credit is not refundable. If she has no tax, the credit will not be given on the tax return.

They did not give the advance credit for the "Other Dependents" since it did not apply, only the children under 18.

Agreed, credit is $500. Are you saying the $500 is not showing up? Granddaughter is a qualifying child but is 18.
