Child's investment income with parent as custodian

Where should this be reported and how to report that parent is cutodian?

On the child's return. No indication that parent is custodian. Form 8615 needed.

In some situations, the parent can report it on their own return. Form 8814 needed.

    Thank you so much.  It has been years since I had clients with really small children.

    I knew that there was a special form but I could not remember what is was.  Immediately after the really great answer it all came back to me .  Thank you

      It isn't limited to really small children.  Sometimes big kids need it too.
