Yes. you can amend your 2023 federal tax return in 2026. To claim a refund, you generally must file Form 1040-X within three years of the original April deadline (by April 15, 2027) or within two years of paying the tax for that year, whichever is later

    As far as efiling it.. yes, until efile window shuts down later this year.
