Can $ paid back to insurance co for non taxable sick pay received in prior years be deducted from taxable social security disability received currently in settlement?

Did the non taxable sick pay get included as income in prior years?    

"non taxable" makes it sound like it wouldn't have ever been included in income.

No not taxable but SS settlement is taxable. Can that be reduced by the $ required to be paid back to the insurance co?
