Can I efile a 1040 X? I am getting an error message due to duplicate return/SSN

I am trying to efile a 2020 1040X but it is being rejected because it says it is a duplicate return. How do I correct this so I can file it electronically?

Its being rejected by IRS (it converts/transmits, then IRS rejects it)?

Or Intuit is saying you have 2 files with the same SSN in the EFCenter?

In order to Efile an amended you must use the same file as you sent for the original not a copy. You shouldnt have 2 returns in the EFcenter with the same SSN.

Yes - rejected by Intuit. Ok so delete the original file as yes, I saved the new file too.
