Question

Can I e-file an amended 2019 NY State Return in ProSeries when I didn't prepare the original 2019 federal or NY state return in ProSeries.

Probably not since intuit will not let you electronically file an amended return for federal if you did not prepare the original return in ProSeries, so there may be the same policy for the state return but I am not sure

    Try it but not likely that it will work. Include a copy of the rejection when you efile as NY DOR can get nasty about paper returns/amendments from preparers

    If at first you don’t succeed…..find a workaround
