Can EIC be claimed in year of divorce?
If a couple with 15yr old child divorce in 2018, can EIC be claimed? Divorce decree states that she gets the dependent in even years. Her income is $20k, his is $60k+. He provided support + help with her rent after split in May ‘18. He provided more than 50% support in ‘18. Can she take EIC in 2018 if child lived with her?
