CA nonresident filing requirement with just K-1 dividends

I'm not familiar with CA taxes.  Are you required to file NR return if only CA income is K-1 Dividends of  $4723? AGI on Federal return is MFJ $230,000

Please say NO....

That's telling you there is no CA source income. so no CA return required.

Most states won't tax nonresidents on income from intangibles/investments, unless it is business income.

K-1 1041

K-1 (541)  (d) 4723 but (e) CA Source amounts $0
