I have a question for the community.  I have a situation where an S Corp is dissolving at the end of 2021 and the 100% shareholder is assuming the balance of the Line of Credit of about $45,000.  Does this assumption create any basis to this shareholder at the end of 2021.  If this does not create basis at the end of 2021 can he take payments as long term capital losses in 2022 when he pays off the loan.
