AMENDING NYS AND CA 2019 RETURNS IN PROSERIES PROFESSIONAL

How do you start to Amend after the 2 States NYS and CA for 2019?

I don’t know about CA and think you may have to paper file  but for TY 2019 NYS is a bit finicky and the DOR requires efile. Make a save as copy of the return, and activate the amendments. For Nys, there’s also a drop down in the federal info worksheet to efile the amendment. Make the changes in the federal, then complete the 2 amendments. When you’re ready to efile the nys, you’ll have to fool the software either by disabling error checking in the efile center when transmitting or moving the original file (temporarily) to another folder. 

If at first you don’t succeed…..find a workaround
