advanced premium tax credit repayment

This has probably been asked several times but does anyone have any info on whether taxpayers do or don't have to pay the advanced premium tax credit? I have a client who owes thousands because of this and I've been checking often but I haven't seen any guidance from the IRS yet.

Many other tax programs have gotten the update this week....PS updates generally come out on Thursdays …fingers crossed its in this weeks update!
