Signature date automation from Docusign

The taxpayer (and spouse) signature dates on the tax return should be automatically updated when the client signs via DocuSign. This is easily done using DocuSign’s APIs and would save a lot of time, because often the last critical error to be resolved before creating an e-file is having the taxpayer’s signature date populated. Right now, ProConnect forces its users to either pre-populate that field before the return is actually signed (and compromise the accuracy of the return) or wait until the return is signed and then manually open the return and update the field
