We really use the "Status" options religiously, and have added many of our own, but we can only select one status to display at a time. Would like to potentially show one or two more statuses. (i.e. Primary Status, Secondary Status, etc.)
For example - we put a self created status of "Filed Extension Manually" to easily see those we've mailed extensions for. But we may also be "In Progress", "Awaiting Client Signature", "Awaiting Acceptance", etc. To choose any of the new status's would knock the first one out, meaning we lose that visibility.
Another example - for some personal returns, we are working on the personal data, but perhaps also need a K-1 to come in, which may be taking some time. We have a self created status of "Waiting on K-1s", but we may also be "In Progress", "Questions to Client", "Filed Extension", etc.
We've had to rely on an external spreadsheet to really watch all these, which is challenging to maintain when you have lots of clients. Would love the software to help us manage these so it's the one go-to place!
