We ran into an issue where a client removed our firm as an accountant user. After we were removed, we lost access to the Proconnect Tax Online copy of all tax returns.

Level 1
We paid to file these tax returns and now they are removed from our history. We should have digital access to these returns since we paid and filed through our software. Is this something that can be avoided or fixed moving forward?

1. Look at the pdf copies your printed when you did the return. Those are your preparer backups. Those would be on your local drives. Regardless of software used, do a pdf copy for future reference. Program updates can change a return and you want an exact copy of what was filed.

2. My guess is you have just experienced one of life's learning lesson. As the client to print pdf copies or share their copy with you. Do things differently in the future.
