MI-1040CR-7 Will Not Suppress

amccann
Level 2

I am receiving critical diagnostics related to MI MI-1040CR-7:

Household member data requires SSN, age, ethnicity, race & gender to be entered. MI - Ref #53056

The Homeowner/Renter Status is required for e-file. MI - Ref #61915

I have entered -1 in Form MI-1040CR-7 [Override] but it is not clearing the diagnostics.

How do I suppress MI-1040CR-7 and clear these diagnostics? They do not qualify for the credit.

I'm experiencing the same issue. My practice is based in Michigan, so very familiar with this credit. I have filled several tax returns before today and never received this error message until today. My plan was just to ignore it as it is clearly a software issue. Let's hope this is fixed soon and the current solution of ignoring the error works.

Same issue here! I've filed over a dozen returns in Michigan so far without issue, then suddenly having an issue today with a taxpayer who clearly does not qualify for the credit. I'm going to try filing anyways and hope for the best (it doesn't seem to be populating in the actual return, just the diagnostics)

All my returns were fine previously, only critical diagnosis was the signature and now today the MI-1040CR-7 will not go away.

I also have put a -1 in the Form MI-1040CR-7 [Override] and it's still not working.  This was the solution that worked last year.

If you select - homeowner it goes away, unless you have kids, then I can't get rid of it. But I ignored the diagnostic for age, race, etc, and it filed for me.

I'm going to say no. I have successfully submitted MI returns by passing the EF Diagnostic. I still have one that was rejected on 3/6 originally, then 3 additional times, last being today at 2pm EST.
