Import ProConnect K-1 to the Partner's 1040

This is my first year using ProConnect.  I am not seeing how to import a K-1 from a Partnership return to the Partner's return.  The Help article shows that there should be a drop-down menu in the Input Return tab that lets me select "K-1 Import".  I don't have the drop-down menu.  What am I doing wrong?

Hi, here are the steps that you will follow to perform a K-1 import into the 1040 if the K-1 was generated from another return within ProConnect:

1) Open the 1040 return

2) Click on the "Import Hub" on the right hand side

3) Under the Import Data from forms or spreadsheets section, click "Import" on the Sch K-1.

4) Click the "Bring in data now" link

5) Select the client you are importing from (i.e. the s-corporation, partnership, etc.)

6) Scroll down to the bottom of the box and you will see the available K-1s from that return

7) Select the one you want and click "Review"

😎 You will then be able to review the data prior to importing and tell the system if it is a new K-1 or import it into an existing K-1.

 

In contrast, if you are importing a K-1 from an external source, on the screen in Step 4 you will utilize either "Upload from this device" or "Get from Cloud apps" (onedrive, dropbox, google drive) on the left side.  The form will import and ProConnect will recognize the form to import it as a K-1.
