How to enter New HVAC unit depreciation and credits

Client purchased new HVAC unit for the home in CA in 2025. I've figured out IRS credit,  but can['t seem to find if there is a CA credit as well. Also wondering about depreciation and whether to put it on Schedule A or C (part of the home is home office.)

While I'm not certain about California, Google seems to indicate there are not any State income tax credits (although non-tax rebates may be available for some things).

In regard to depreciation, if the person is a W-2 employee, that is a Schedule A deduction (no federal deduction, but is a state deduction).  If the person is an independent contractor filing Schedule C and Form 8829, it is part of the 8829.  The Basis could need to be reduced by the tax credit.

Thanks! TP had HVAC installed in 11/25--rebates not received until 2026 so that answers part of question!
