Form update schedule for Idaho conformity to OBBA

Idaho recently announced they finished updating form 40 to increase the standard deduction to conform with OBBA, and that they have a new worksheet for Schedule 1-A deductions.

We were hoping for an update today.  Other software companies are already up and running.  Please provide us with an estimate of when this will occur.  As other users have noted, this is causing a serious delay to Lacerte users and it is frustrating to see other (cheaper) software companies already implementing this while we deal with frustrated clients.

Hi @stay165 , I did not state there would be an update today and I cannot provide you an ETA.  The press release was March 3rd, which was just on Tuesday of this week.  As always, our programs are updated based upon information provided by the state or IRS direct to the department responsible for programming and they are working on it.  I did check in with the department when the question was asked yesterday in the communities, and was advised they had just received it and were working on the changes received from the state.  As I stated in my original reply, I will be happy to come back here to this post when it is released, but that is all that I can do for you at this time.

We called Lacerte this morning and spoke with a rep who said she could see the Idaho forms are currently in the testing phase. She also mentioned they’re showing as scheduled for the update on the 18th, but she sounded hopeful that they might actually be included in this Thursday’s update (the 12th).

Just wanted to share the update since I know a lot of us are waiting on Idaho. Our firm is pretty inundated with returns that are ready to e-file as soon as this goes through. We’re right there with everyone else feeling the frustration!

Is there an update on this?  I went in to check tax returns that are being held this morning with no change being shown.

I found another thread that said it will be available later today. I will believe it when I see it. I reached out to support the other day, and they said they had zero information to give me and that they had not even received information from Idaho. This was after I found this thread, so not sure how much anyone actually knows.

Hi @SmallRoots and @tsanderscpa  the thread from Alicia would be the most current information that we have.  It is possible that calling into support they would not have known what you were referring to.  Support agents receive information as it is released to the program.  As I stated before, once I see it live in the program I will come back to this post and confirm its availability.  Thank you for your patience.
