Question

Tax after credits is the same amount as tax before credits even though $63 foreign tax credit is listed. Why won't it recognized the foreign tax credit amount?

You need to look at the actual 1040 + schedules and follow the money to see why your outcome is what it is.

    Where is foreign tax credit listed?  If your client is eligible for §904(j), did you make that election?
