Question

Does anybody know how to enter the pass-thru entity tax opt-in in the NY or NJ partnership or S Corp returns? Is there a place in the program to enter it?

Many states have established optional pass-thru entity taxes as a way to circumvent the SALT limits.  Looking for a place to enter such opt-ins in the business returns

I do not think there is a specific opt in that is universal. It will depend upon the state and type of entity. A few are possibly in the program by now, but I would not trust in this very much this early in the game. Ask about a specific one and you may get some guidance.
