disposed of assets still showing up in depreciation calculation

I am disposing of assets for a rental. I need to do this so I can add them again for a joint venture. The assets disposed of are still being included in the depreciation expense. Not sure how to remove them.

They get a partial year of depreciation in the year disposed.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

    What you mean by a "Joint Venture"?  Is it a Partnership?  If so, is the Partnership an LLC?  Are the tenants provided "services"?  When was the Joint Venture started?

    My point of the questions is that you might not need to dispose of anything.
