Can I efile any state tax return if I have EFIN?

I am based in NY, but I was wondering if I can efile any state tax return if I have an EFIN, or do I need to register as a tax preparer for every state? I'm new here, hopefully, someone can help.

Most states do not require a separate efile registration anymore. It's been a long time since I looked. Maybe some of the folks newer to the tax prep biz can chime in.
