Today, client said she received an email that her 1040 was not filed yesterday. She checked her ID.me account this morning and confirmed it
I have Lacerte's e-filing confirmation. It was filed yesterday.
I don't believe that the IRS would send such an email.
Thank you. it IS NATIONAL ACCOUNTANT'S DAY! YIPPEEE
Sidenote: I filed 141 tax returns from 1/1 to 4/15. My IRS PTIN account shows that 107 have been filed as of 4/16. I suppose the difference represents tax returns that have not yet been recorded.

She was certain it was legit. So she saw in her IRS or ID.me online account that it wasn't filed, must have felt anxiety, and of course doesn't know that it could take weeks to process a filing
