Friends:
Client is a Fed/DC taxpayer with municipal bonds. DC taxes municipal bond income from bonds that originate outside of DC.
The DC tax form (D-30) is accompanied by a Schedule I that lists additions to and subtractions from federal numbers to account for things that are taxable in DC but not in fed and vice-versa.
Line 7 of the Schedule I (Additions, Other) shows $3,850 with a link that says "See Statement 1". Statement 1 says "Municipal Bonds Taxable to DC . . . . $3,850". I am pretty sure that I typed that.
But I need to change the number and I can't find where I entered it!
If I Jump to Input, it brings me to Screen 51.321 (DC Additions, Other Additions). But there is nothing in that field, so that is NOT the source of the input!
I went into Batch mode and looked at every screen with data in it and I could not find the text or the dollar amount.
So . . . does anyone know where that data would be or how I can find it?!
Micah
My guess is that it is an entry in your Interest or Dividend income for Muni
Yeah, my assumption too. But I looked at all of them, including the details in the records (Ctrl-E). Nothing!
No!!!
But its gotta be there somewhere!
Ugh.
ALSO, I used the Find feature to look for the text ("municipal") and it only found it in the one place where I knew that word to be already (but neither the phrase nor the amount match).
Could "Municipal Bonds Taxable to DC" be an automated message and/or calculated amount?
