California changed the SOS file numbering format for LLC's changing from a 12 digit numeric file number to a 12 digit alphanumeric file number. Lacerte is generating a critical diagnostic stating that my SOS file number is invalid because it begins with a "B". But this is the true SOS number. On the 568 and K-1's the "B" is dropped, only the following 11 digits are appearing on the forms.
Anyone get the correct SOS file number to print on the forms? Dropping the "B" will technically get the critical diagnostic to clear but would create a matching issue between the tax return and SOS.
I looked for related conversations but did not find any.
