Anyone else notice that the system isn't just pulling the limited amounts for the calculations?  I am having to input "adjustments" to ensure proper caclulation...unless I am missing someting.  Amounts are entered into Schedule A inputs and/or Medicare premiums from SSA-1099.

It's because the OR adjustment is particularly by person, whereas in Lacerte broad medical expenses aren't required to be assigned to taxpayer or spouse. I had a situation where the wife was of age, but the husband wasn't.

So if Lacerte would have carried federal inputs over, it might have incorrectly allowed or disallowed the subtraction if you aren't precise about putting "T" or "S" in your med expenses, and some clients don't separate them for us to know anyway.

I agree, it's annoying, but I don't see a sufficient tech safety net without this extra input. Thankfully, pressing F1 on Screen 25 Oregon med inputs does point this out, that the other inputs don't carry over to this.
